In the spirit and mood of Easter, Bishop emeritus Adoyo took us through the glory and power of the Cross. Bishop emeritus, later expounded on the History of the Cross. It dates back to the final plague in Egypt when God wanted to release His people from Israel. The cross manifested in the smearing of the doors with blood on the Israelites’ lintel and doorposts. This was spearing then from judgement by the angel of death. This was the first cross in the Bible. The lamb had to be killed for the blood to be identified by the angel of death so that he could pass over it. This was the first Passover that the Israelite celebrated through to the time of Jesus. It was a sequel to the coming of Jesus himself.
